Today most of the electronic devices are equipped with a wireless remote for their operation. Remote control has made the human life simpler. There are several applications of a remote control for, such as Turning on or off of your TV can be done by pressing a button on the remote, lowering the temperature of air conditioner can be done by pressing the temperature button on the remote. Here is a project for making a low cost wireless controller for your home appliances. LED, counter IC CD4017 and a relay. LED’s works as an indicates the operation status of the gadget i.e. its ON or OFF. IR sensor receives the pulse from a remote control which is carried to a counter IC CD4017 which in turn operates the relay.
